About:

One of the major pilgrimage paths of Hindus is the Chardham Yatra which is a travel through the Garhwal region in the state of Uttarakhand. The route comprises of four major pilgrimage destinations namely the Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath and Badrinath.

Package Details

Day 1: Arrival at Haridwar
Haridwar is an ancient city and important Hindu pilgrimage site Uttarakhand state, where the River Ganges exits the Himalayan foothills. The largest of several sacred ghats, Har Ki Pauri hosts a nightly Ganga Aarti (river-worshipping ceremony) in which tiny flickering lamps are floated off the steps. Pickup from train station and drop to hotel. In evening visit to Ganga Aarti in Har Ki Pauri. stay overnight in Hotel.

Day 2: Haridwar to Barkot (190km / 6-7 hrs)
After Breakfast drive to Barkot via Mussoorie, enroute visit Kempty Fall (Suggestible to have your lunch at Kempty fall. Barkot is a town and a Nagar Palika in Uttarkashi District in the state of Uttarakhand. It is located on the banks of the Yamuna river. Barkot is the last big town near Yamunotri Dham. stay overnight in Hotel.

Day 3: Barkot to Janki Chatti and then trek to Yamunotri and back (45km on road and a trek of 6km one way)
Yamunotri Temple is situated in the western region of Garhwal Himalayas at an altitude of 3,291 metres in Uttarkashi District, Uttarakhand. The temple is dedicated to Goddess Yamuna and has a black marble idol of the goddess. Early morning, Drive to Jankichatti/Phoolchatti, trek start from here to Yamunotri (6kms). Either by walk or by horse or by Doli at own cost. stay overnight in Hotel.

Day 4: Barkot to Uttarkashi (90km / 3-4 hrs)
Uttarkashi, meaning Kashi of the north, is a town in Uttarakhand, India. Uttarakashi is also known as Somya Kashi. Uttarkashi is a religious place for spiritual and adventurous tourism. Uttarkashi town is also called as Shivnagri. The town has number of temples and ashrams. stay overnight in Hotel.

Day 5: Uttarkashi to Gangotri and back (100km / 3-4 hrs)
Gangotri is a town and a Nagar Panchayat in Uttarkashi. It is a Hindu pilgrim town on the banks of the river Bhagirathi and origin of river Ganges. It is on the Greater Himalayan Range, at a height of 3,100 metres. On arrival at Shree Gangotri, take a holy dip in the sacred river Ganges which is also called Bhagirathi at its origin. Perform Pooja and Darshan, after that relax for some time in the lovely surroundings. Return back to Uttarkashi. stay overnight in Hotel.

Day 6: Uttarkashi to Guptkashi/Phata (220kms / 8-9 hrs)
Guptkashi is a fairly large town located in the Kedar-khanda, in Garhwal Himalayas of Rudraprayag district in Uttrakhand, India. It is known for its ancient Vishwanath Temple dedicated to the god Shiva, which is similar to the one in Varanasi. There are more tangible connections as well-the Kedarnath pandas (hereditary pilgrimage priests) live in Gupt Kashi during the winter months. stay overnight in Hotel.

Day 7: Guptkashi/Phata to Kedarnath (19km of trek / 6 hrs)
Kedarnath Temple, is a Hindu temple dedicated to Shiva. Located on the Garhwal Himalayan range near the Mandakini river. Due to extreme weather conditions, the temple is open to the general public only between the months of April to November. Trek start from Sonprayag to Kedarnath (3584 mts). Tour members should carry personal medicines, heavy woolen, toiletries and clothes. stay overnight in Hotel.

Day 8: Kedarnath to Triyuginarayan Temple then Phata (19km of trek / 6 hrs then 50km / 1 hrs)
Triyuginarayan Temple located in the Triyuginarayan village. The ancient temple is dedicated to god Vishnu. Its fame is credited to the legend of god Shiva’s marriage to goddess Parvati witnessed by Vishnu. A special feature of this temple is a perpetual fire that burns in front of the temple. The flame is believed to burn from the times of the divine marriage. stay overnight in Hotel.

Day 9: Phata/Triyuginarayan to Chopta
Chopta is a small region of meadows and evergreen forest area, a part of Kedarnath wildlife sanctuary located in Uttarakhand state, India and a base for trekking to Tungnath, the third temple of Panch Kedar which lies 3.5 kilometres away. Located at a distance of 1.5 kilometres (0.93 mi) from Tungnath is Chandrashila, a summit rising to over 4,000 metres (13,000 ft) stay overnight in camp/hotel.

Day 10: Chopta to Tungnath and back (8kms / 30min, 3km trek)
Tungnath is one of the highest Shiva temples in the world and is the highest of the five Panch Kedar temples located in Rudraprayag district, in the Indian state of Uttarakhand. The Tunganath mountains form the Mandakini and Alaknanda river valleys. stay overnight in camp/hotel.

Day 11: Chopta to Malkoti/Karnaprayag (80kms / 3 hrs)
Kartik Swami is a temple of mystic ambiance and exquisite views. The popular Hindu temple is perched on a hilltop at an elevation of 3050 m and situated near Kanak Chauri Village on Rudraprayag-Pokhari route in the district of Rudraprayag of the state Uttarakhand. In order to reach the temple, one has to undergo a 3 km thrilling trek that starts from Kanak Chauri Village. stay overnight in Hotel.

Day 12: Karnaprayag to Badrinath (160kms / 6-7 hrs)
Badrinath Temple is a Hindu temple dedicated to Vishnu which is situated in the town of Badrinath in Uttarakhand, India. Badrinath one of the ‘Four Dhams’ is one of the most celebrated pilgrimage spots of the country and is situated at an elevation of 3,133 meters, guarded on either side by the two mountain ranges known as Nar & Narayan with the towering Neelkanth Peak providing a splendid backdrop. stay overnight in Hotel.

Day 13: Badrinath to Rudraprayag (150kms / 5-6 hrs)
After breakfast drive to Rudraprayag, on the way you will visit Nandaprayag and Karnaprayag. Rudraprayag is one of the Panch Prayag of Alaknanda River, the point of confluence of rivers Alaknanda and Mandakini. Early morning, pilgrims after having a bath in the Taptkund have the Darshan of Badrivishal. Brahamakapal is significant for Pinddan Shraddh of ancestors (Pitrus). stay overnight in Hotel.

Day 14: Rudraprayag to Rishikesh (140kms / 4 hrs)
After breakfast drive to Rishikesh, on the way you will visit Devprayag. Rishikesh is a city in India’s northern state of Uttarakhand, in the Himalayan foothills beside the Ganges River. The river is considered holy, and the city is renowned as a center for studying Yoga and Meditation. You can visit Ram Jhula, Laxman Jhula, Rajaji National park safari tour. Enjoy Rafting, Bungee Jumping and many other sports. stay overnight in Hotel.

Day 15: Rishikesh to Haridwar Airport (25kms / 1 hrs)
After breakfast Check-out the hotel and drive to Haridwar and drop to Train Station/Airport.
